Wisconsin's inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend school districts other than the one in which they reside.

The Open Enrollment Application Period ended April 30, 2012. The Swallow School Board of Education will conduct the random lottery for available open seats at their Board of Education Meeting on May 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. All applicants will receive a letter in the mail with determination regarding their child's acceptance, denial or wait list position.Open Enrllment

Open Enrollment Update 2-16-12
Pursuant to Act 114 and in line with School Board policy, the Swallow School Board of Education declared space for open enrollment seats at the Board Meeting on February 15. The space available is as follows:
Kindergarten – 2 open seats
First Grade – 9 open seats
Second Grade – no open seats
Third Grade – 4 open seats
Fourth Grade – no open seats
Fifth Grade – no open seats
Sixth Grade – 6 open seats
Seventh Grade – 3 open seats
Eighth Grade – 3 open seats
If the number of students applying for open enrollment at a given grade level exceeds the number of open seats, the district will establish a waiting list for students who may gain admission if those approved during the selection process do not accept their open enrollment slot.
