Sam Hett Engineering Hello! My name is Sam Hett, and I am so excited to be part of the Swallow family! I graduated from Viterbo University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (Pre-K- 6th) and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I was also a student athlete for the men’s basketball team at Viterbo. I spent the first year of my college career in Irvine, California, but I knew my family and friends in Wisconsin would eventually lead me back home. I have taught kindergarten, second, third, fourth and fifth grades in Milwaukee, Waterford, Johnson Creek and Wauwatosa throughout my 23-year teaching career. I strongly value personalized learning and meeting students at their readiness levels. I prioritize helping students in managing their social emotional regulation. This provides students with the tools necessary to not only be successful in the classroom but in the community as well. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young children. We spend any free time we have boating and being outdoors during Wisconsin’s warmest months. My favorite activities include attending Wisconsin sporting events and concerts. I am a huge fan of the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks. |

Rebecca Mork Welcome to 1st-8th Grade Art!! My goals for students are that they will find success; gain artistic and problem-solving skills; learn that mistakes are a way to learn and grow; and discover a love for art -- whether it’s a medium, an artist, technique, process, or just a positive way to express themselves. I’m looking forward to a year of learning from each other, fun and excitement. I can’t wait to learn more about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about me. I grew up in West Allis, WI and attended West Allis Central High School. In high school I participated on the football, basketball, track and baseball teams. I was also involved in the National Honors Society, Math Team and Conservation Club. I earned my degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, Coaching Education and Health Education from UW-Whitewater and my Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University-Wisconsin. This year will be my 27th year in education. My previous positions have included Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Athletic/Activities Director, and Head Football Coach. I have taught physical education and health in the South Milwaukee, Hamilton-Sussex and West Allis-West Milwaukee School Districts. I married my high school sweetheart and we celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary this summer. We have three boys and a dog. I love playing disc golf, working out and going to see live music. |
